Soft florals, slow milk
Fragrant by Nature · 好茶自然香
A small tea house in Singapore. Single-origin leaves unfurling in slow water, milk that lets the leaf lead, steam carrying the room.
Chapter 01 · The Concept
CHASHE began on a tea trip to China. Our founder walked into a tea house and was stopped in his tracks — not by the queue, but by the standard. The leaves were single-origin. The milk was thoughtful. The brew was timed to the minute. One question kept circling back: why isn't this in Singapore?
So he brought the standard home. Years of researching origins, studying brew protocols, refusing the shortcuts that have crept into the local scene. From that obsession came a small tea house in Toa Payoh — and now a second one at Kinex Mall.
The name? CHASHE is our take on the Mandarin 茶師 — cha shi, the tea master. We kept playing with the wordmark, and chashi wouldn't balance — the lockup needed the symmetry of SHE. We leaned on Cantonese, where 師 lands closer to she. The meaning holds. The wordmark sits properly on the page. Form, meet function — over a kettle.
“Good tea doesn't need to shout. We just keep the kettle warm.”
